A Mercedes-Benz innovation, the acclaimed ESP system is now standard on all our vehicles. If your car is in danger of skidding, ESP selectively brakes individual wheels and adjusts engine output in order to correct the problem.

ESP works in tandem with our anti-lock braking system (ABS), which helps maintain steering control during emergency braking. In addition, the Brake Assist System (BAS) recognises emergency braking and applies maximum braking force almost instantaneously, significantly reducing stopping distances.

Choose the optional bi-xenon headlamps for your M-Class and you'll also get LED rear lamps. These offer a significantly higher light output than standard rear lights, helping to make you even more visible on the road. In addition to enhancing safety, they help lower service costs due to their long life.

The M-Class offers a wealth of innovative technology to reduce the risk of accidents such as Hill Start Assist, which prevents the car rolling backwards when pulling away on an incline. Other features include optional bi-xenon headlamps with cornering light function. When turning into a road at night the cornering light illuminates a wider area than standard headlamps, significantly improving visibility.
